Official: Man City sign Real Madrid's Danilo

Danilo has signed for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Both clubs made the deal official on Sunday. Danilo has joined Man City for the next five seasons and will be incorporated into the squad during the tour of the USA. "I am very happy to be able to sign for Man City," said Danilo after passing his medical tests and sealing the deal.

"There was a lot of interest in other clubs for me but I've always seen the ambition Guardiola has and that is what convinced me the most. On nothing more than knowing his interest, I decided to sign for Man City."

For his part, Txiki Begiristain, Man City's sporting director, said: "Danilo is a player who offers us a lot of versatility. He can perform in different psotions, as a defender or in midfield."
