The forward left Madrid for Juve in 2018 but could return this summer

Cristiano Ronaldo's future could be... at Real Madrid. According to El Chiringuito, the Portuguese forward has been pushing the idea in recent months and there is a real possibility of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu. Both Madrid and Ronaldo are aware that things went better when they were together and would be ready to be reunited, which could be possible given Juventus' financial needs.

The cited information says that Jorge Mendes, Ronald's agents, has already had informal talks with Madrid chiefs to sound out a hypothetical return for his client. After a period of coldness, the contact between all parties over the last year has been frequent and the relationship has been reestablished, opening the door to a possible transfer.

Andrea Pirlo's project at Juve hasn't got started and suffered a setback with the Champions League exit to Porto. In addition, Juve are a long way off top spot in Serie A. Add to that the side's need to bring in cash, everything suggests letting Ronaldo leave following three years in Turin could be possible.

However, the fact Ronaldo only pays much less tax on his earnings in Italy could be a handicap when it comes to re-negotiationg terms with Madrid, where he spent a decade before his move to Juve. In any case, and as difficult/unlikely as it remains right now, returning to Los Blancos is a possibility. A small one, but a real one.
