Incidencias

Partido de las semifinales vuelta de la Copa del Rey disputado en el Santiago Bernabéu.

Luis Suarez scored twice and Raphael Varane put through his own net as Barca won 4-1 on aggregate.

They will meet either Valencia or Real Betis, who play on Thursday, in the final in Seville at the end of May.

Barca have won the competition in each of the last four seasons and have not lost a tie since they were beaten by Madrid in the final in 2014.

Despite the scoreline, Barca's place in the final looked on the ropes at times.

Vinicius caused problems for Madrid and Marc-Andre ter Stegen had to come to his side's rescue in the first half. The German saved from the Brazilian and from Karim Benzema as the home side created the best chances.

But Barça sharpened their teeth at the break and struck on the break in the second half.

Jordi Alba did well to free Ousmane Dembele, who crossed for Suarez to open the scoring in the 50th minute.

Ter Stegen was then the hero at the other end again, keeping out a Sergio Reguilon header after more good work from Vinicius.

Madrid's prolificacy was Barca's efficiency, though, and another Dembele cross doubles the visitor's lead, this time Varane was on the end of it under pressure from Suarez.

Suarez was then fouled by Casemiro and dusted himself off to outrageously chip the penalty down the middle, true Panenka style.
