The forward wants to leave in January if PSG are prepared to sell him

Kylian Mbappe has put several European clubs on red alert after it became known he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January.

The French striker only agreed a new three-year deal this year, but broken promises have led him to push for a move away once again after turning down Real Madrid in the summer.

According to various reports, PSG would be willing to let him go on one condition: he can't go to Real Madrid. Per The Sun, there are the clubs who could sign him, wth Liverpool the best placed.

Real Madrid

Mbappe looked set to join Madrid for free in the summer before renewing with PSG. Now, according to the former Norway player Jan Aage Fjortoft, he has an agreement to join them after the World Cup. However, PSG would not currently consider selling to Madrid.

Liverpool

Other reports place Liverpool as the best placed to sign him in January. They have been linked with him before and Jurgen Klopp is, obviously, a fan. However, the fee and wages could break the pay structure in place at Anfield.

Chelsea

In contrast, Chelsea are ready to pay more. New owner Todd Boehly is still looking for a new leader for his project. Mbappe trained at Chelsea when he was younger, even playing a friendly against Charlton. London could entice him.

Manchester United

The 'Red Devils' would also try and sign Mbappe if he was available, but cannot offer Champions League football. At least not this season. United are following the situation but would not likely be high up the player's list of options.

Manchester City

The English champions could pay the money but also have structures in place. The possibility of being united Pep Guardiola, Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland is exciting. It would make City the outright favourites for every trophy.
