PSG make Mbappe available for transfer: what teams could sign French star?

The French club will listen to offers now to avoid losing him for free in 2024

A radical change in the transfer market: Kylian Mbappé has been transfer listed! Given his refusal to extend his contract beyond 2024, as L'Équipe revealed, Paris Saint-Germain are now open to his departure. The Ligue 1 champions do not want the Frenchman to leave without leaving a single euro in the club's coffers, especially after having tailor-made a project for him that he did not want to captain.

Therefore, with the risk of losing him for free next summer, they will listen to offers now.

Once again, then, a Mbappé soap opera is in sight. Faced with the possibility of being able to sign one of the best players in in the world, several teams would make an economic effort for him. The situation is favourable. With one year left on his contract, his value is plummeting and the teams that want to sign him know that they will pay a price that would otherwise be unthinkable.

Will Madrid forgive?

Florentino Pérez came close to signing him in 2022. Real Madrid had him all but tied up until his renewal with PSG became a matter of state. The player played with the Spanish club until the last minute only to finally announce that he was staying in Paris. Something that left a very bad taste in the Spanish capital.

Now his arrival to form a dream team alongside Bellingham, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Co. is once again a possibility. Madrid are the club that have made the best moves in this early part of the transfer window with the signing of the English midfielder and the return of Brahim and Fran García. There is money and the 2024 plan could be brought forward, even if the president says not this year.

The Premier League

When it comes to financial muscle, the Premier League has plenty of it. The English competition always wants the best players and being able to bring together Mbappé and Haaland in the same competition would be the icing on the cake. For that, there would initially be three candidates.

Manchester United

Manchester United are lacking a clear offensive reference. This season it has been more than demonstrated that they need more punch up front and, despite the fact that Marcus Rashford has completed a great year, they need a partner with whom to threaten the opposing defences. Initially, the target was Harry Kane, but now everything could change. Mbappe's arrival would be the definitive boost the Old Trafford club are looking for to become feared again in Europe.

Liverpool

The Anfield side were one of the teams that were in the race for the longest time, along with Real Madrid. Although the Reds have been adding players in recent years to make a generational change, the departure of Roverto Firmino and some other departures could lead them to bet on Mbappé. Their first signing of the summer has been midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Chelsea

If there is such a thing as a market agitator it is Todd Boehly's Chelsea. Although they have to let out a lot before they can get in, the Blues have attractive players to bring in a good amount of money to fund a moe for the superstar. Players such as Romelu Lukaku, who is returning from loan, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, among others, could leave Stamford Bridge.

It remains to be seen, of course, whether Mbappé would be interested in joining a project that has so far failed to find its way. Pochettino arrives as a lifeline, but it would be a huge help to bring him in.
