Mbappe is front and centre of the club's campaign for next season

On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain sent their season ticket holders the video clip of their renewal campaign for the 2023/2024 season, with a monologue by Kylian Mbappé, seated in the stands of the Parc des Princes, in which the French striker makes clear his attachment to the club. A speech interspersed with images of matches, fans and young PSG players, such as Ismaël Gharbi, Warren Zaire-Emery and Nuño Mendes. The big absentees? Leo Messi, who is still waiting for a possible return to Barça or a new adventure in Europe, and the Brazilian striker Neymar.

"The surroundings, the ground, the atmosphere... The Parc des Princes involves a lot of things, it's the 12th man, it's what gives us extra strength to fight our battles," stresses Mbappé. "To be Parisian is to be proud of what you are, of what you represent, proud to be ambitious, to want to do things, to want to win, to always surpass yourself and never forget where we come from.

"I am also speaking on behalf of all the players, of the whole club, of those who couldn't come, to show you how important you are to us. Unfortunately, we can't always show it. We would like to do more, we can always do more, but here it is. It's not us with you, it's all of us together.

"I know that this year has not been the best of years. We didn't meet the club's expectations, yours and ours too. We all want to stay together to finish the season well, to win the championship... Grand Paris, grande famille."

PSG seem to be betting on a clear leader and standard bearer for the team, who will lead a new project and fulfill the club's main objectives, which include winning a long-awaited Champions League. Paris only wants one king -- and that is Mbappé.

The latest signs seem to indicate that Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos are betting on a project in which the MNM (Mbappé-Neymar-Messi) payroll has no place, so the departures of the Argentine star and the Brazilian crack could make it possible to put together a new team with a single man at the helm: Mbappé.
