The PSG manager said that he doesn't know if Mbappé has communicated a desire to leave to the rest of the squad

PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that rumours about Mbappé's potential departure should not be taken too seriously, reaffirming that he is a PSG player and that he can't see him playing anywhere else this season.

"Kylian is our player, and I don't see him playing anywhere else this season", he said in today's press conference. The player has 1 year left on his current deal and there is much speculation about a possible move to Real Madrid before the end of August.

"It's normal for there to be lots of rumours during the transfer window. We've seen many times how some of these rumours might be true, but the majority are not. The most important thing is for Kylian to be calm", he said, before insisting that the player looks "motivated" and "is working really hard in preparation for a successful season".

'Poch' said that he has no idea whether or not the player has spoken to the dressing room about his future plans. "I'm not a player, so I'm not involved in these discussions. I only talk to Kylian about footballing matters, about what he needs to do tomorrow. What is clear is that he has one year left on his current deal, and even if he doesn't renew, he will remain a PSG player [this season]. We are happy with him, and from what I've seen, he's happy with us too".

He concluded the press conference by saying "we know that Kylian is our player and we want him to stay at PSG".
