The former Barcelona coach has been informed on the situation with the French striker

The Kylian Mbappé soap opera has only just begun but the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy have already made their position known to the new coach, Luis Enrique, who, pending official confirmation, will be the Ligue 1 team's boss for the next few seasons.

As every summer, Mbappé's name is appearing in all kinds of transfer rumours. Leaks point to a possible departure to Real Madrid, but in Paris they are only contemplating his exit if two conditions are met.

Luis Enrique has asked about the Frenchman's future and the response from the owners is that Mbappé will only leave if a very big offer arrives or if the player himself presses.

The Parc des Princes side are hopeful that the new coach can help resolve the situation, with their attacking options having already been affected by Messi's departure.

The Asturian's role on the bench will be an authority figure for a PSG side accustomed to 'trouble' off the pitch. There is no transfer market in which they are not a protagonist, but Luis Enrique can be key to building a less toxic and more orderly dressing room environment.

PSG already know some of the new faces for next season, among them Kang In Lee, from Mallorca, and Manuel Ugarte, a Uruguayan pivot who has established himself at Sporting Lisbon as one of the 'jewels' of the current European scene.
