Lionel Messi not in PSG squad vs Brest
The Argentine star is heading back to Barcelona for a couple of days instead
Lionel Messi will not debut for PSG this weekend. In fact he is back in Barcelona with his family for a couple of days. Mauricio Pochettino did not call up the Argentine for PSG’s clash with Brest on Friday night, and Neymar is not part of the squad either, nor Sergio Ramos.
Messi and Neymar were in the Copa America final and only returned to training recently, especially the former, who did not link up with Barcelona with his future on the line.
The No 30 will likely feature for the first time on Sunday 29th against Reims.
Kylian Mbappe is PSG’s squad and seems like he will stay there for another season, despite rumours over Real Madrid interest.
The PSG squad for the Brest game is: Navas, Donnarumma, Franchi, Hakimi, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Diallo, Kherer, Bitshiabu, Bitimazala, Verrati, Danilo, Herrera, Wijkanldum, Rafinha, Gueye, Ebimbe, Gharbi, Draxler, Di María, Mbappé, Icardi and Kalimuendo.
