Leo Messi, decision imminent over his future

Now that PSG have clinched the Ligue 1 championship, Leo Messi plans to make his decision on his future in the next few hours. As already announced by his father, Jorge Messi, in a statement, the Argentine footballer was going to decide his future once everything was finished.

To the existing offer of Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, other options have appeared in the last days for Messi.

SPORT have learned FC Barcelona are not currently an option for the player as they have not submitted any formal offer and it still depends on La Liga and the Feasibility Plan, as well as player sales, salary cuts, Barça TV dismissals, etc... to be able to even start registering players who are not yet registered in La Liga.

It is not a question of Leo Messi wanting or not wanting to wait for the Blaugrana team. For the player, there is no certainty that Barça can finally make an offer either now or on August 31. It depends on many circumstances and at the moment there seems to be no guarantee that an offer from FC Barcelona will be forthcoming.
