A report claimed Messi will invest in the franchise and move there next summer

Lionel Messi has still not decided his future beyond the expiry of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in 2022-23. The player's camp wanted to deny reports claiming he was going to buy 35% of the MLS side Inter Miami, before embarking on the final years of his career with the American club.

According to sources close to Messi, the Argentina star has still not made any decision on his future and has no short-term plan beyond continuing at French side PSG, who he joined from Barcelona last summer. He is going to fulfill his contract in Paris. After that, he will decide what comes next.

Evidently, moving to MLS is an option for Messi but as of today, per sources close to the forward, he has not committed to anything, nor is there anything signed (as claimed by Total Futbol Direct TV). Messi wants to focus on PSG and the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year. It will be at a later date when he even considers anything else.
