Messi, Suarez and Neymar ensure their manager's team selection will remain an anecdote...

Luis Enrique decided to pick an experimental Barcelona side for the second league game running. The first time cost Barça against Alaves at Camp Nou. The second time, on Saturday, the MSN saved him. The strange team selection made by Luis Enrique, fortunately, is now little more than an anecdote thanks to goals from Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. To have the trident is a blessing capable of providing a solution for even the worst coaching decisions.

The Barça boss has given up on Aleix Vidal. Definitively. He wasn't even in the squad for the game against Leganes. In principle, that's not a problem. But it becomes a problem when the manager decides to give a rest to Sergi Roberto. Who would he put at right-back? Well, Mascherano!!! A Mascherano who, in theory, looked set to cover in midfield with Sergio Busquets also given a rest.

The 'invention' was a disaster. And it wasn't Mascherano's fault. The Argentine did what he could in a position which isn't his and in a defence with three centre-backs (Pique and Umtiti) that were put under pressure by the modest Leganes. Rakitic, meanwhile, was unable to hit Busquets' heights (Mission Impossible) in midfield and the lack of control in defence became a lack of control in midfield, too. Luckily, there was the trident to save Luis Enrique's blushes.

It's clearer all the time that this Barça lives (and wins) thanks to the MSN. It's a privilege to have Messi, Suarez and Neymar in the same team. Almost a miracle. Because to have the three best forwards in the world together in one side guarantees magic. And goals.
