Barcelona keep on picking points in La Liga. Ernesto Valverde's side beat Sevilla on Saturday to stretch their unbeaten run to 16 games. The pattern of games has been the same: complete domination, few chances (although often well taken) and creativity exclusively in the hands of Messi and Iniesta. Against Sevilla they came out more active than in recent games thanks, once again, to Iniesta.

Curiously, Paco Alcacer read the game the best, scoring two typical centre forward goals when given the chance to start ahead of Gerard Deulofeu in Barça's attack. The Valencia striker produced his best performance for the club and the win was his, without doubt. His success is the opposite to Luis Suarez's goal scoring crisis. The Uruguayan's on his worst scoring streak since he signed. Suarez may be struggling with goals and fail to find them most of the time, but his low fertility is the symptom of a more worrisome ailment. And it's todo with how he fits the team after the departure of Neymar: Luis Suarez is undoubtedly the great victim of the beheading of the trident, because he is forced to multiply himself and undertake too many tasks, some which are not natural.

Far too often, he's forced to the win and to take on players. Let's not avoid it anymore: Luis Suarez is a specialist, one of the great No.9s in the game, a goal scorer...  Now he looks like he's looking for his place in a team which has been forced to reconfigure itself after the departure of Neymar and the injury to Ousmane Dembele. Barça have made their best ever start to a league season and Real Madrid begin Sunday 11 points behind Las Palmas. But Luis Suarez remains Valverde's biggest challenge. An urgent solution is needed.
