Comment: Lluís Mascaró was not impressed with the Barça coach's timing

Luis Enrique dropped a bomb at the most inopportune moment. The Barcelona manager announced, the night after beating Sporting Gijon, that he would leave the club at the end of the season. 

He made the revelation in a press conference. Stealing the limelight from his side's 6-1 win; stealing the supporters' excitement; and stealing the dream of a comeback against Paris Saint-Germain. 

It's never a good moment to drop a bomb like this. But the one chosen by Luis Enrique was the worst. Because Barça are at a crossroads, back in the title race, on the brink of what could be a historic game against PSG and in the final of the Copa del Rey. 

The Asturian coach has poured dynamite on the tranquility which is necessary in this situation. And that, of course, is not good. Not good at all... 

Luis Enrique will have his reasons for bringing forward his announcement (which has been coming for months), but he caught everyone off guard, including president Josep Maria Bartomeu. And, of course, the players. 

Nonsensical, especially considering that in his pre-game press conference he's not back claims he was tired, announcing he was "exultant". Twenty-four hours later, he'd changed his mind. Insulting...
