Josep Pedrerol's "whistles and applause" of the weekend

Barça are in for a tough time. How difficult the absence of Pedri, Lewandowski and Dembélé is making it for Xavi. The team looks different, they are lacking in brilliance and the games are getting stuck in the mud. Even so, they are top of La Liga and are close to the final of the Copa del Rey.

 

Valencia deserved more. That penalty in limbo in the 85th minute... Let's hope Baraja's team doesn't end up needing that possible point. They are still in the relegation zone and their rivals are winning. Mestalla has to be a fortress until the end of the season.

 

Let Caparrós return. Sampaoli's situation at Sevilla is unsustainable. The defeat at the Metropolitano, beyond the good performance from Atleti, cannot be allowed. The team is lost, they don't understand the Argentinian. A change on the bench is urgent.

Simeone, living history at Atleti. To surpass Luis Aragones is a big word. Bravo for Cholo. His best legacy would be to leave the team in the Champions League and finish with a smile on his face. The club and coach need a breather.
