It is difficult to be Ernesto Valverde

It's been Ernesto Valverde's worst week since he took charge at Barcelona. Even worse than those days which followed the shipwreck which was the Spanish Super Cup humiliation against Real Madrid.

Since then, Valverde has reconstructed a team which was at rock bottom after the loss of one of its star player, Neymar, and an injury to their star signing, Ousmane Dembele.

Valverde has Barça unbeaten and top of La Liga and through to this weekend's Copa del Rey final (against Sevilla in Madrid on Saturday).

But one bad -- really bad -- night in Rome, from the coach and the players, has brought feelings of failure back to Barcelona.

As if having missed out on the treble, the double means nothing. Especially if the feelings around the style of football are not completely orthodox. Well, this is Barça.
