Comment: Arda Turan has another party of a different kind

Barcelona’s third goal was a metaphor for the game, in which Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan shone. Leo Messi invented a pass for the Catalan full-back, which Vidal crossed for Arda to net, another player living in the eye of the storm.  It was a night where the fans in the stands acknowledged the delicate moments these players have been going through. 

Aleix was smart in his play, received the first ovation from the Camp Nou, gave an assist and the fans asked about the justice of the castigation that Luis Enrique has had in store for him this season. He’s a full-back that was not liked by Lucho, and as a consequence, did not play. And as a consequence, has been put on the transfer market. And as a consequence, the club are looking for a replacement. From today, and 24 days before the window opens, things don’t seem as clear all of a sudden.

Arda Turan, bad against Madrid for a stupid foul and criticised by Luis Enrique, came good. We found out that he had been out of favour since he went too far at Suarez’s golden shoe party (five goals before then, zero after). But he played here and scored a hat-trick, taking him to eight goals, while Neymar has six. Arda had his own party at Camp Nou and hopefully has ended his negative streak.
