Ansu Fati overshadows struggling Luis Suarez

Barcelona are strong at Camp Nou. There's no place like home for Ernesto Valverde's side, who are trying to survive the crisis they're going through on the road. After hammering Real Betis and Valencia, Villarreal arrived among a sea of doubt following the club's bad results away from him. But the Blaugrana came through those doubts to win their third straight game at home, although with more problems than their first two games. 

Barca are not good. They're bad. But the home support is driving them forward. Against Villarreal, with the 'debut' of the new trident (Messi, Suarez and Griezmann starting together for the first time), Valverde's side had 20 minutes of inspiration. They were 2-0 up and Messi was running the game -- until he had more fitness issues. 

The goals from Griezmann and Arthur (the Brazilian's a belter) seemed to set up another easy three points. But an error from Ter Stegen allowed Cazorla's long-range strike to creep in before the break. And with Messi then taken off, it opened up the second half. Messi remained in the dressing room as a precaution and Barca's level dipped. 

In the second half, they huffed and puffed with little success until the magical eruption of Ansu Fati 10 minutes from time. The kid did more in three plays than Luis Suarez (who he came on for) did in the whole game. A 16-year-old teenager overshadowed a Suarez who is a long, long way from his best. Ansu deserved a goal. Once again, he was the game's bright spark. And that doesn't say much about Barça's current situation.
