Pedro Sanchez strong on Luis Rubiales: Apology was insufficient

This morning, Pedro Sanchez received the World Cup champions at Moncloa and with them, the coach Luis Rubiales, with whom he greeted very coldly.

Later, from the lectern and at a press conference, the acting president of the government was asked about the kiss Rubiales gave Jenni Hermoso on the lips and he was very forceful in his response: "What we saw was unacceptable, but also Mr Rubiales' apologies are not enough and are not even adequate and therefore he has to continue taking steps to clarify it".

So Pedro Sánchez is by no means calling the matter closed and expects the current RFEF president to take further steps. He was also asked if the government can force his resignation and replied that it is not an action that the government can take, although he insisted that the behaviour was "unacceptable".
