FIFA confirm the World Cup hosts will also host the Club World Cup for two years

FIFA has confirmed that Qatar will be the host of the next two Club World Cups, in 2019 and 2020, before the tournament makes radical changes to its format in 2021. 

At the 69th FIFA congress ahead fo the Women's World Cup in France, football's governing body revealed that the Club World Cup will be held in Qatar as "a test" ahead of the 2022, World Cup, which will be held in the same country. 

The 2019 and 2020 Club World Cups will follow the same format as recent seasons, with the champions from Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Oceania all competing along with the champions from the host country.  

But in 2021, the tournament will change, with 24 teams taking part in a summer competition -- until now it has been held in December, as it will be in the next two years.
