PSG sign Barcelona midfielder Rafinha
The French club have taken the Brazilian off Barcelona's books
Barcelona have reached a deal with Paris Saint Germain for the transfer of Rafinha Alcantara.
The Brazilian midfielder will go for free with 3m euros potentially to come in variables, though the club did not confirm these figures.
"FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Rafinha," said the Catalans in a statement late Monday.
"FC Barcelona would like to publicly thank Rafinha for his commitment and dedication and it wishes him all the best for the future."
Barcelona are looking to clear out unwanted players to reduce their wage bill, and Ronald Koeman did not need his services. He joins the likes of Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal on the way out of the Camp Nou.
Rafinha has been with Barcelona for a long time but injuries often hampered his progress.
He came through the B side, then spent time at Celta Vigo on loan (twice) and Inter Milan. Rafinha has been capped twice by Brazil.
