The negotiations between Barcelona and Inter Milan over Arturo Vidal have hit a roadblock. According to the Italian newspaper 'Gazzetta dello Sport', Barça have asked Inter to pay something for the Chilean midfielder, even if it's just in variables, but Inter have said no.
Just as Barça did with Ivan Rakitic and his move to Sevilla, the club isn't after a significant sum upfront but would like to potentially earn more based on the player's success. Inter responded by telling Barça: "We won't even pay you one euro!"
This comes just at the moment where it felt like the transfer was practically closed. Vidal is still expected to leave but it looks like Inter are going to play on Barça's need to sell to get the best deal possible.
