Haaland spokesman announces Man City deal is done
The Norwegian striker will be linking up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad next season
After many months of uncertainty over where Erling Haaland will play next season, this Monday his destiny has been confirmed. Man City and Pep Guardiola will get their man, beating Real Madrid and FC Barcelona to the punch.
Jan Aage Fjortoft, the spokesman for the Haaland family, said as much on Twitter. “Finally a decision has been taken. Erling Haaland will play at Man City next season. Haaland’s teams informed Real Madrid and Bayern Munich last week about the decision. The last couple of weeks has been all about the contract details.”
Barca had to drop out of the race as they could not afford the forward and Madrid and Bayern fought to the end but could not lure him.
