Genoa striker Piatek attracting interest from all over Europe

Barcelona are among the big clubs with an eye on the Polish front man

Krzysztof Piatek is a forward in fashion in European football. At 23, the Polish international has made a fast start to life in Italy with Genoa, which is serving as the perfect trampoline to bring him to the attention of bigger clubs. His price in the market: 60 million euros.

A day doesn't pass without Piatek being news. He joined Genoa this past summer froml Crakowia for a 'modest' 4.5 million euros. It's an amount which already seems ridiculously cheap after his nine goals in Serie A and his four in the cup.

It seems there is a queue forming for his signature already. In recent days, the list of hopefuls has grown. Napoli lead the way in Italy, although Juventus and Inter have also been linked. In Germany, as always with the young players, Borussia Dortmund are on top of the situation, but others suggest he could be the perfect replacement for compatriot Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich.

In England, more or less the same. Arsenal are the latest to be linked.

As for Spain, Barcelona's name has come up the most. They're looking for a long-term substitute for Luis Suarez, who turns 32 in January, and Ariedo Braida has watched Piatek play.

The only certainty so far is that Genoa have not yet received any offer to negotiate the sale of their emerging star striker.
