Reports in Holland suggest the 19-year-old will move to Camp Nou this summer

Barcelona are in advanced talks to sign the Ajax right-back Sergiño Dest, according to a report in Holland from Veronica Inside.

Dest, 19, could arrive at Camp Nou as a consequence of Nelson Semedo's departure, with the right-back likely to leave this summer, possibly as part of the deal for Lautaro Martinez.

While Dest represented the United States, he was born in Holland so he would not take up a non-EU place, unlike Emerson, if he was called back early from Real Betis.

If Lautaro signs and Arturo Vidal doesn't leave, with Arthur Melo around as well, Barça won't have room for any more non-EU players.

Another point in Dest's favour is that he can also play on the left, so his versatility could be a huge plus as Barça also look to move on Junior Firpo.

Barça are not the only club keen on Dest, but they're the club he prefers. Bayern Munich have been leading the chase and were interested in doing a deal in January.

However, the player recently said in comments to the American website Bleacher Report that "Barça is my dream."

Dest burst on to the scene this season. He left his local team, Almere City, in 2012 for Ajax's academy and has since progressed to the first team.

This season, in all competitions, he has played 34 games, scoring two goals and setting up six more. Impressive numbers for his debut campaign.
