Manchester United are interested in signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, while the Spanish club are open to making money as they look to sign a striker, according to Diario AS.
United have been keen on the Spain international for a while and even more so now with the rumours of Paul Pogba's possible exit.
Amid interest in the summer, Atletico reactivated an improved salary, but it didn't come accompanied with a renewal. However, the improvement is paralysed although Saul does have a contract with Atletico until 2026.
Meanwhile, Atletico need to bring in around 80-90 million euros to sign a top-level striker. The latest to be linked is RB Leipzig's Timo Werner.
The main candidate to leave is Thomas Lemar, who joined the club in 2018 but has not done as well as expected.
Saul, though, is a key part of Diego Simeone's side. He has taken part in all Atletico's games this season, save one, against Granada, which he missed through suspension.
