Seven moments which have marked Neymar's first 100 days in Paris
Neymar's been at Paris Saint-Germain for 100 days already
It's been a rollercoaster since he was presented in August
Neymar's completed his first 100 days as a Paris Saint-Germain player. After being presented as PSG's new star, with his 222 million euros release clause paid, the Brazilian has become the leader of the French side at the expense of other great players. It's a situation which throughout these 100 days has brought moments of happiness, but also moments of tension in the dressing room.
Here are seven moments which have marked Neymar's first 100 days in the French capital:
1. THE PRESENTATION
Neymar, accompanied by PSG president Al-Khelaifi, was officially presented in front of thousands at the Parc des Princes. "I want new challenges and to help PSG write history. I've not come to be the star," he said. However, he had to wait for his debut. There was also a presentation at the Eiffel Tower and before the game against Amiens, which he watched from the stands due to registration issues.
2. THE DEBUT
Neymar was finally able to make his debut for PSG. With his transfer ratified and his registration transferred, he played in a win against Guingamp. Neymar scored a goal and participated in two more in an easy win.
3. THE CRITICISM OF THE BOARD
Neymar did not forget about Barcelona. In the dressing room at Camp Nou he has good friends, but the same can't be said for some of the club's directors. The Brazilian didn't wait long to criticise them, saying that Barcelona deserved a better board.
4. THE CAVANI INCIDENT
The good atmosphere in the PSG dressing room ended with the penalty incident. Against Lyon, Neymar and Cavani fought over who should take spot kicks, with the latter eventually taking -- and missing -- from 12 yards. The fallout continued for weeks after.
5. THE RED CARD
Neymar has also shown his negative side on the pitch. In the game against Marseille, he was sent off for a second yellow card after reacting to a challenge. The score was 1-1 at the time, but Cavani saved Emery's side with a stoppage-time winner.
6. THE MSN
Neymar's not hidden his good relationship with the other members of the trident he once formed part of at Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. He's constantly returned to Barcelona when given time off and it's even led to talk he regrets leaving. It's not a subject which is likely to go away, either.
7. THE TEARS
Neymar broke down this week. The pressure got too much for him and he responded to comments that he was not happy at Paris Saint-Germain. "What bothers me is everyone creating stories about me, with my coach and with Cavani. These things are not real, it's not true," he said.
