The ambitious Al Khelaifi confirms that Neymar will stay in Paris for at least another season

Neymar wants to continue feeling like the star at PSG following the meteoric rise of Kylian Mbappe. For this reason the president of the French club, Nasser Al Khelaifi, has travelled to Sao Paulo to cheer up the Brazilian star during his charity auction in a luxurious hotel.

Al Khelaifi has been clear in his statements that Neymar will stay at PSG for at least another season. It was the player who said this first and later it was the club chief's turn in front of the cameras.

"My players have played really well at the World Cup. Brazil were under a lot of pressure but France had a fantastic World Cup and deserved to win it," assured the PSG president. "Mbappe was incredible and Neymar gave his best despite the injury. He gave everything."

France winning the World Cup has converted Mbappe into a national hero. And behind that is Neymar's frustration and fear at Mbappe perhaps eclipsing him as PSG's star attraction.

However, Al Khelaifi isn't buying those rumours doing the rounds. "Neymar and Mbappe get on really well, they're compatible. The rest are stories from journalists. It's impossible that there's a problem between the two of them," he added.

He was also clear about PSG's intentions for this summer and how neither of his star men were for sale - at any price. "The returns of Mbappe and Neymar to the squad are scheduled for the beginning of next month. What's clear is that neither player is going to move this summer."
