L'Equipe: PSG move for Luis Fernández
The coach would return to the club to work with the youth system
"I¿m 57 and I still have the same passion" he adds
The French-Spanish coach Luis Fernández could return to PSG as head of their youth system, according to the French newspaper L’Équipe. The Parisian club is trying to put an end to the trend of their young players leaving.
The ex-Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol and Betis coach, born in Tarifa, Cádiz but who moved to France with his family aged 8, has had two spells as PSG manager between 1994-1996 and 2000-2003
The Portuguese Antero Henrique, who is PSG’s new sporting director, would be behind a potential reunion. In an interview with Le Parisien, Luis Fernández preferred not to talk about his future. “We’ll have to see how it goes with the people involved. I can’t say anything more for the moment. I’m hoping that all parties can move forward. I’m 57 and I still have the same passion”, the coach said. He added that coaching youngsters was something that appealed to him and that he was keen to teach youngsters what he knows.
