The former United player gave his opinion on PSG

The French club offered their response on Twitter

Former Manchester United forward Eric Cantona has called Paris Saint-Germain a "small club", provoking a response from the Ligue 1 runners-up.

The Frenchman doesn't bite his tongue. On this occasion, he took advantage of an interview with FullTimeDEVILS on YouTube to send a dart in PSG's direction.

Cantona spoke about various issues, the majority related to Manchester Unuted (Mourinho, Pogba and the possible arrival of Griezmann) and the criticism of PSG came when he was asked what player from the French club he would bring to Old Trafford.

Quickly, he responded: "[Javier] Pastore. I adore Pastore. PSG have two great players, Pastore and [Hatem] Ben Arfa, but they don't play. Pastore is special, he surprises you everytime he gets the ball. He plays for Argentina, a great country, but he doesn't play for Paris, a small club, but since they have a lot of money they are big."

PSG, seemingly rattled, responded by quoting an old Cantona quote on Twitter:
