Iniesta starts his first match for Vissel Kobe - and they win
The former Barcelona captain played 82 minutes as his new side won 1-0 on his full debut
Andrés Iniesta has made his full debut for his new side Vissel Kobe in the Japanese league. And it'll come as no surprise that Iniesta's first start resulted in Vissel winning the match (1-0).
The Barcelona legend played 82 minutes of the contest today.
In his debut for the Vissel Kobe, which happened last week, Iniesta came off the bench with his side already 2-0 down. He was introduced in the 59th minute of that match to a hero's welcome but couldn't stop Vissel losing the game 3-0 to Shonan Bellmare.
This time the former Barça man was on the winning side in the 18th gameweek of the J-League. His team's goal was scored by Asahi Masuyama.
Since he arrived in Japan the expectations have been raised to the maximum level possible. In his debut, the fans filled the stadium and today was no different. Iniesta continues to make good things happen even now that he's no longer in Barcelona.
