RFEF confirm refereeing HQ searched by police as part of Negreira Case

The search was carried out in Madrid on Thursday

The Spanish Football Federation [RFEF] have confirmed that police searched the headquarters of the Technical Committee of Referees on Thursday as part of the Negreira Case.

"Today, the Guardia Civil carried out a documentary search at the headquarters of the RFEF Technical Committee of Referees as part of the investigation into the 'Negreira Case', events relating to the Federation's administration prior to the current management," a short statement said.

"All RFEF staff have cooperated at all times with the request for information from the State Security Forces and Corps. 

"The RFEF remains at the disposal of the courts with the sole aim of clarifying the facts under investigation as soon as possible."
