No Griezmann as Atletico travel to Barcelona with some absences
The visitors will be missing three important players and Antoine can't face his parent club as a result
Atletico coach Diego Simeone has called up 19 players for the clash with Barcelona on Sunday, meaning various names miss out because of injury.
Antoine Griezmann, Marcos Llorente and Geoffrey Kondogbia are not on the list. The two midfielders had trained recently but are not fully fit.
Griezmann has been out since Jan 6 when he suffered a relapse of his injury from early December. He has only featured in one of the club’s last eight games.
Daniel Wass and Reinildo Mandava, two new signings, are in the squad along with Jan Oblak and Felipe who are back from Covid.
The other names are Benjamin Lecomte; defenders Sime Vrsaljko, Renan Lodi, Stefan Savic, José María Giménez, Mario Hermoso, midfielders Thomas Lemar, Koke Resurrección, Rodrigo de Paul, Héctor Herrera, Yannick Carrasco; and attackers Ángel Correa, Joao Félix, Luis Suárez and Matheus Cunha.
