Javier Mascherano joins Estudiantes from Chinese football
The Argentine, formerly of Barcelona moved back to his home
Former Barcelona star Javier Mascherano was presented as an Estudiantes de La Plata player after returning to his Argentine homeland from Chinese Super League football.
"I want to thank Estudiantes, the president, the coach and everyone who made my return to Argentine football possible, today's a special day for me and I take on this challenge with a lot of hope," said the 35-year-old.
Mascheano, who played for Corinthians, West Ham and Liverpool before Barcelona for eight years and Hebei Fortune in China, was presented before 15,000 supporters.
