Sevilla announce appointment of Pablo Machin as new coach
He leaves Girona after three and a half wonderful years at the club
Pablo Machin has been appointed Sevilla coach, replacing Vincenzo Montella who was sacked in April.
Joaquin Caparros took over as interim coach and took them to seventh place in La Liga, qualifying for the Europa League, before accepting a role as sporting director.

"The rumours are over and the confirmaton is here, I am going to Sevilla," wrote Machin, who took Girona from near relegation to the Segunda B to 10th in La Liga this season.
“With his characteristic 3-5-2 system and a notable approach to set-pieces, Machin has created his own stamp which he’ll now try to use to strengthen a team settled in Europe and designed to fight for the biggest prizes,” Sevilla said, of the coach they appointed on a two-year deal.
Girona sent a message to Machin, thanking him for the "historic seasons" he had at the club.
