Sarabia struck just after the break to earn his side the three points which moved them back above Eibar into sixth place in La Liga.
However, Girona will feel they did at least enough to return to Catalonia with a point, with Aday Benitez guilty of missing a first half penalty.
The spot kick was saved by Sergio Rico and the Sevilla goalkeeper thwarted the visiting side on several occasions in the second half, too, to leave them ninth in the table with 31 points.
