Manchester City to loan a €13 million Brazilian midfielder to Girona
Douglas, a 19-year-old midfielder, will leave Vasco de Gama to play in Europe
Dortmund and Monaco are also monitoring the player
Girona have signed the 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder Douglas on loan from Manchester City. According to the Brazilian portal Globoesporte the English club have agreed a fee of around €13 million with Vasco de Gama for the player.
The cancellation of Douglas’ contract has already been published in the Brazilian Football Association’s daily bulletin but Vasco de Gama are officially denying that the player will leave. “We have terminated the contract but that is not to say he will leave” declared the president of Vasco, Eurico Miranda, to the portal UOL Esporte.
Nevertheless, Manchester City have been monitoring the player since January and will loan the player to Girona to adapt to European football under the cooperation agreement the two clubs have.
