Girona confirm the signing of Seydou Doumbia
He arrives for free and he will play for the club for three seasons
Seydou Doumbia has signed for Girona after leaving Sporting Lisbon and Roma, who both owned rights to the player. He joins the Catalans on a three year deal, until June 30, 2021. He will be presented to the media at Montilivi in a press conference from 1.30pm Wednesday.
Doumbia was a petition from sporting director Quique Carcel, who wanted to sign him last summer too. The Ivorian has played in Switzerland, Russia, Italy, England and Portugal, accumulating 176 goals in 300 games.
Both Cristhian Stuani and Portu, Girona's current attackers, have been linked with moves away from the club.
