Girona sack former Barcelona assistant Unzue after just 12 league games
Luis Enrique's former No.2 is out of work again after being dismissed on Monday
Girona have sacked coach Juan Carlos Unzue just 12 games into the La Liga Smartbank season, the Catalan club confirmed on Monday.
Juan Carlos Moreno will be in charge for Sunday's game against Alcorcon at Montilivi, supported by the current members of the coaching staff: Narcís Pèlach, Iñaki Codinach and Omar Harrak.
Girona sit 11th in the league after winning give games, drawing one and losing six. They are three points off the playoffs.
The weekend's 4-2 loss to Real Oviedo proved the final straw for Unzue, who had only taken over in the summer following the club's relegation from La Liga.
Unzue is the third manager in Spain's second tier to lose his job this season. Sergio Egea has already left Oviedo, replaced by Javi Rozada, and Juan Antonio Anquela left Deportivo La Coruña, with Luis César Sampedro taking over.
Juan Carlos Unzué no continuarà al capdavant del Girona.
