Jerry Quy is the man in the suit and he has been let to by Arsenal

Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus has been made extinct by the north London club.

Per the Athletic, Jerry Quy, who has played the dinosaur since 1993, when it was created, has been let go by the club.

Arsenal are making cuts because of the coronavirus situation and the lack of fan revenue means they are binning staff, including the legendary prehistoric creature.

Arsenal said they were sacking 55 staff members in August because of the Covid-19 pandemic’s financial influence.

“You’re going nowhere ⁦@Gunnersaurus. I refuse to let @Arsenal⁩ sack you. Come on ⁦@m8arteta @Aubameyang7 - this is not what our club is about. #savegunnersaurus,” wrote the relentless Piers Morgan on Twitter.
