The Brazil international has been accused of sexual assault

Dani Alves's toughest week has come to an end: the former Barcelona player has already spent his third night in the Brians 1 prison in the Catalan capital after being accused of sexual abuse by a young woman in a well-known nightclub in the city.

Pending how the case ends, the Brazilian international has had to enter prison provisionally, although his closest circle continues to defend his innocence.

Ney Alves, his brother, has spoken with the show 'Fiesta' and has said that the whole family is "staying strong in the face of the situation. I don't think the lawyer is doing well."

Alves' lawyer, who until now was Miraida Puente Wilson, will be dismissed by the player's family. However, many of the family members depend financially on Dani's income and for this reason they have sent Andrés Marhuenda Martínez, a new lawyer, to design an optimal and beneficial defense strategy for all.

The Brazilian has given up to three different versions of what happened on the premises: firstly, he did not know the victim; later he confirmed that they had agreed and finally confessed that there had been consensual sexual relations.

Dinora Santana, Alves' first wife, trusts his innocence: "Dani would never do that, never. I'm telling you that I've known him for twenty-two years and I was married to him for ten years."
