Jonatan Giraldez's side are into the final despite playing for so long with 10 players

Barcelona produced a heroic performance to beat Real Madrid 3-1 after extra time in the Spanish Supercopa semifinal to set up a final against Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Barca played for over an hour with 10 players but still had enough in the tank to down Madrid with late goals from Mariona Caldentey and Salma Paralluelo.

Claudia Pina's opener had earlier been cancelled out by Caroline Weir before Irene Paredes saw red for a second booking in the 59th minute.

Barca were the better side with 10 players but could not find a winner against Madrid and the tie extended into an additional 30 minutes.

Still a player light, Barca took the game to Madrid and finally restored their lead in the 111th minute when Lucy Bronze won a penalty which Caldentey dispatched.

Paralluelo then added the third from close range late on as Barca sealed their place in Sunday's final against Natalia Arroyo's Real Sociedad side in Medira.
