The league is due to get underway this weekend but it may not happen if there's no deal

The controversy in Spanish women's football continues after the 'Rubiales case.' Now, the start of the Liga F season is in jeopardy due to a strike by players demanding better conditions than the current ones.

The approaches that have been made by both the league and the footballers' unions have not been as successful as desired so far this week, according to reports from 'Partidazo de Cope'.

The aforementioned media points out that there was no agreement in the meeting between Liga F and the unions over the Collective Bargaining Agreement, with the salary being the biggest point of disagreement.

From the current minimum annual salary of €16,000 annually, Futpro, AFE, CCOO and UGT demand a minimum of €35,000.

As planned, another meeting will be held on Tuesday around midday with the aim of unblocking the negotiations in view of the start of the league campaign, which begins this Friday.
