Barça's women had already travelled to the capital for the match

Barcelona's women's team were due to play Madrid CFF this weekend but the match has been called off due to Storm Filomena.

Barça had already travelled to the Spanish capital for the fixture when they learned that it had been postponed late on Friday evening.

Storm Filomena is wreaking havoc across Spain, especially in Madrid and in the north of the country, with a number of games likely to be called off this weekend.

Athletic Bilbao's trip to Atletico Madrid in La Liga has also been called off because the men's team from the Basque country were unable to land in Madrid.

Real Madrid's game at Osasuna is also in doubt because of the weather in Pamplona, although Zinedine Zidane's side have made it to Pamplona for the game despite problems taking off.

Barça's women went into this weekend's game on the back of a 5-0 win against Espanyol at Camp Nou. They have won all 11 league games this season and have a goal difference of +60.
