PSG 1-1 Barça: Blaugrana deserved more from Champions League semi

Barcelona will have home advantage in the second leg next Sunday for a place in the final

Barcelona drew 1-1 against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on Sunday but deserved more in the French capital.

Jenni Hermoso headed Barca into an early lead but PSG replied through Alana Cook to set up a tense second leg at the Johan Cruyff stadium next Sunday.

PSG were indebted to their goalkeeper, Christiane Endler, who made a string of fine saves and to the referee, who failed to spot two penalties in Barça's favour.

Mapi Leon was fouled in the area just before the break and a Lieke Martens shot was blocked with a hand in the second half.

Endler, meanwhile, was at her best to keep out Hermoso, Andrea Pereira, Alexia Putellas and Caroline Graham Hansen.

PSG also had their chances, notable through Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who misses twice in the space of a few minutes in the first half.

The winners will meet Bayern Munich or Chelsea in the final, with Bayern winning the first leg of that tie 2-1 later on Sunday.
