Pots confirmed for Friday's Women's Champions League draw

Reigning champions Barcelona will learn their fate later this week

With the qualifying round of the Women's Champions League now over, the UEFA competition has now defined the four pots for the group stage.

Reigning champions FC Barcelona will defend their title from the privileged position of top seeds, alongside Olympique Lyon, Bayern Munich and Chelsea. The draw will take place on Friday 20 October in Nyon (Switzerland) at 13.00 (CET).

On Wednesday, Real Madrid qualified for the last four with a 3-0 win over Vaalerenga. In the first leg, Real Madrid also beat the Norwegian side 2-1. Madrid's goals came from Toletti in the first half and Feller and Athenea Del Castillo in the second.

Dates

The first matchday of the Champions League group stage will be played on 14-15 November, the second on 22-23 November. In December, the third and fourth matchdays are scheduled (13-14 and 20-21) and in January 2024, the fifth and sixth (24-25 and 30-31).

The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on 6 February. The quarter-finals will be played on 19-20 March (first leg) and 27-28 March. The semi-finals are scheduled for April: 20 and 21 (first leg) and 27 and 28 (second leg). The final will be played at San Mamés (Bilbao) on 25 May.
