Lyon star Ada Hegerberg is Barcelona's (almost) impossible dream
The French side don't want to sell and Barça won't go all out
Norwegian star Ada Hegerberg blew Barcelona away in 30 minutes. She was the focal point of Lyon's attack, scoring a hat-trick in the first half as the French side beat the Catalans in Saturday's Champions League final. The Ballon d'Or winner would be key to any team and that reality has not escaped Barça.
The Blaugrana have asked about her, but Lyon do not want to lose the world's best player and Barça, for now at least, cannot go out of their way to push a deal through.
Seeing Hegerberg in Barça's colours would provide, without doubt, a huge leap in quality for the team. It's a shame that for now that dream seems a long way away.
The forward's statistics are frightening. With here treble against Barça, the 23-year-old has scored more goals than games she has played for Lyon. She has 255 goals in 254 matches. Her numbers in the Champions League are just as impressive: 40 goals in 39 games.
On top of that, you can add all the trophies she has won with Lyon, including no less than four Champions League in a row.
