Barça women into Champions League semifinal as search for history continues
The Catalans will meet Bayern Munich in the final four
Barcelona's women are into the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League. It's just the second time in the club's history that they have made it so far.
Barça want to do something big in Europe this season and they remain on track. They knocked out LSK Kvinner in the last eight on Wednesday, winning 1-0 in Norway after a 3-0 first leg success at the Mini Estadi.
The last time the Blaugrana went so deep in the competition was in 2016-17, when they knocked out Swedish side Rosengard in the quarterfinrals. Until then, they had never made the last four. Lieke Martens played for Rosengard at the time.
However, that was the end of the road. They were knocked out in the semifinals by Paris Saint-Germain, losing both games (1-3 and 2-0).
This time, Barça face Bayern Munich in search of a place in the final for the first time in their history.
