Barça Femeni coach Jonatan Giraldez, renewed until 2024
The coach has been given a two year extension at the helm of the team
Barcelona have announced that Barca Femeni coach Jonatan Giraldez has been renewed for two seasons, as SPORT first reported. Giraldez was part of the technical team under Cortes last season then coached the team this year, taking over in the summer of 2021. He signed on for a year but winning the league and cup has earned him a new deal.
Giraldez won an unbeaten league with the team and reached the Champions League final, which was the only trophy which escaped him and Femeni.
“Today is a very happy day, above all for everyone here, those who will be here this season and who are important,” said a delighted Giraldez.
“Each day is a degree. I have the feeling that I’m growing a lot on a personal level. I hope to return with desire for more, I think this team still has room to grow.”
