Official: Seung-Wo Lee joins Verona
The player has already passed his medical with the Italian club
Barça have an option to buy back the player at the end of the next two seasons
Barcelona and Hellas Verona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Seung-Woo Lee, the 19 year old Korean forward. Barça have the option buy the player back at the end of the next two seasons.
Seung-Woo Lee played for the Juvenil A last season, scoring 10 goals in 30 games. He also made his debut for Barça B against Lleida Esportiu.
As SPORT revealed a few days ago, Barça were looking to offload the player due to his non-EU status. Only two non-EU players are allowed in La Liga 1/2/3 and these are currently taken up by Anthony 'Choco' Lozano and the Brazilian Vitinho.
At the start of the summer, the player said “after meeting with the team and taking advice from other people, I’ll take the best possible decision. If I’m not staying at Barcelona, then I’ll choose the team that offers me the best options”. In the end this was Verona.
